Hidden (Brum) in plain sight

We teamed up with the wonderful people at Hidden Spaces, Perrott’s Folly and Re.Future to put on three amazing events in June. Here’s a bit of information about what you could have won!

Beer Tasting at Perrott’s Folly with Two Towers Brewery

An amazing afternoon of ale and history. We took visitor’s around to discover the elaborate and intriguing history of Perrott’s Folly, all whilst sipping on some of the Midland’s finest beer. Two pints of our ale, a potted history of the brewery and a fabulous guided tour up Perrott’s Folly! If you haven’t been to the Folly it’s a must see in Bimringham and it gives superb views of the the city!

Hidden Sounds at Two Towers Brewery

The farewell to brewery event. The ticket price included a sampler board of Two Tower’s ales and the opportunity to view a pop-exhibition of the Hidden Spaces archives. Plus music the Taskers, Alice Dillon and the Bernard Payne. More info about this event is on our previous blog.

Tolkien Tour with Two Towers Brewery

A full on three and a half hours of talk, tours and beers!  The Tolkien Tour visited The Oratory where Brother Patrick delivered a humorous and informative talk, before visitors had a chance to look around the Oratory. Second up was Perrott’s Folly for a informative, lively and fun guided tour with the superb Lizzy. We could wax lyrical about the Folly and Lizzy all day, but the best thing to do is visit!  The third stop was the area around the Severn Trent Yard ‘Water Tower’ (see below) where Matthew Ward gave us the benefit of his knowledge of the site. We finished the day with a tour of the Two Towers brewery, which included the tour and two pints of our ale.

We’ll be working with Hidden Spaces, Perrott’s Folly and Re.Future again soon. So look out for more great events coming your way from us! In the mean time you can visit us at the Gunmakers Arms or book a brewery tour at the Shadwell St site. Check our website for dates 🙂

Cheers

Darren
